AxxonSoft releases client apps for iOS and Android
AxxonSoft has introduced a free Axxon Next client app for iOS and Android devices. The Android version provides remote access and monitoring for Axxon Next-based video surveillance systems. The iOS client includes even more functionality, with support for Axxon Intellect-based integrated security systems as well.
With the Axxon Next client app, users can choose any VMS server to connect to it and view live video or archived video from any camera. The convenient scalable timeline allows quickly and easily pinpointing video of interest.
When working with archived video, the iOS client allows jumping to the first frame of the previous/next video fragment and jumping to the first/last frame of the entire archive, as well as playing back video forwards and backwards.
On Intellect-based systems, the iOS client allows managing alarms, arming/disarming all cameras, using interactive maps that display camera and sensor locations, viewing video from a camera of interest in one click, managing various devices, and getting push notifications about alarms, which are displayed on the user's iPhone or iPad even when the app is not running.
Both mobile client versions are compatible with versions 3.1 and later of Axxon Next. Axxon Intellect support will become possible with the release of Intellect 4.9.0. English and Russian localizations are included.
The iOS version supports the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd, 4th, and 5th generations), and iPad (all generations). iOS 4.3 or later is required. The Android client requires version 2.3 or later of the Android operating system.
The iOS app is available on the App Store.
